Welcome to Pinterest Flips & Flops a new monthly blog hop to share the things you’ve tried from Pinterest- the great ones that make you flip! And the bad ones that were a flop.
This month I’m sharing one great big flip of a project! The crocheted owl. A friend of mine sent me the pin and I quickly pinned it to my Yarn Fun board for my daughter. She tried them right away and they’ve been a huge success!
First she made them into scarves and then decided the owl granny squares would make great little hand bags.
R13 has been making these like crazy fulfilling orders for them. She has four more bags to complete for her most recent order. They are very popular among the little girls with purses set.
She’s gotten really good at reading crochet patterns and makes these on the go. It’s a great little project and I adore her modifications.
This is a total win of a pin! Next month I’ll share more flips and a flop. You can join us too! This month visit the landing page to see some of my blogging friends and their Pinterest Flips & Flops.

The owl turned out super cute. My crochet skills top out at making scarves, and one rather misshapen hat.
She rocks the amigurami Ticia. She made a crochet Gandalf too and is hoping to make the other characters!
Really cute!
Thanks Sarah!
Awesome! Thanks for sharing! 🙂

LOL It looks like I have shown you the owl rock post before because you commented on it! 🙂 Here is a better second link for the owl ornament. Scroll to bottom of post. They are easy and very satisfying to make. http://hollyhock-hill.blogspot.com/2012/12/christmas-2012.html
Thanks Shonda! Owls are HOT right now.
